Other kins have high tech point systems. Where only kin are invited to raids. And then only kin who have attended shit loads of raids can actually even get a chance at any loot after they have generated enough raid points for a loot drop. Which is kinda sucky IMO..

But we still think, we need to step our raid's to a higher level of organization, to ensure loot is fair, and people who do the right thing are rewarded for their efforts.

So we are implementing a simple little bonus / penalty structure for the raids from now on... Points earned or lost in this raid, take effect next raid.
These new rules wont effect the raid booked in for july 7th, but what happens in the 7th july raid, will effect any future raids you have with this kin.

So................. New Rules...

Raid Point System
Everyone starts with 100 points.
On the 7th july everyone will have 100 points.
So what this means is when you roll on boss items you type /roll 100 same as before.

All normal raid loot is on a NEED / PASS system, This new system is ONLY on the master looter BOSS DROPS..

Bonus Points.

+1 point
* Turning up to the raid on time IE 1/2 hour before the raids due to start.

+2 points
* Completing the raid and being there at the end of the raid.

Penalty Points

-2 points
* canceling within 18 hours of the raid.
* Going afk in the raid in combat

-3 points
* canceling within 2 hours of the raid

-5 points
* Not showing up at all.
* Not completing the raid.

At the end of the raid... new tallies will be calculated. And posted publicly on our forums. And you will get new rolling total for future raids

Your new total is what you roll on, for future raids with this kin.

Some examples.
If you turn up on time and complete the raid, you will get +3 points, so from now on will /roll 103
Someone who turns up on time, but leaves 1/2 way through the raid.
ends up with -4. So from now on in future raids, they roll /roll 96

R/L shit happens, so penalties and bonus's are small.
But over, say 10 raids,, it adds up.

Starting from
This system isn't backdated. So points Aren't generated from previous raids, but are calculated from this next raid, And put into play in the raid after that.

Min / Max points.
If peoples points get as low as 80, they will not be invited to raids with us any more. And there is a max set on the points at 120. When your points gets to 120, (Which if you got 3 points a raid, and never lost any, would take 8 raids). You can lose points to go lower than 120, but cant gain any to go above 120.

If your max points, IE 120. what this means is you will be rolling /roll 120
And generating a random number between 1 and 120...
You do not add any number to your rolls, this way would be unfair and give you too much of a advantage. Its simply a random number between 1 and 120. So you can still roll one or two.

Raid Balancing

In a effort to produce a more balanced raid group. Hunters AND champions will be limited to Insomniax Kin Hunters. And hunters who have completed a raid with us previously. We of course will not prevent hunters who have raided with us before, from doing so again. But we must put a stop on NEW non kin hunters and champs from adding to the raid, as we currently have enough.

Roll the wrong number and ....

Everyone will know what number they are meant to roll, It will be clearly posted in our forums for all to read, and will be announced on vent and in /ra AND when the items linked, it will be mentioned again. People wont have a chance to forget or accidentally roll wrong.

When someone wins a roll, their roll will be checked against the numbers posted into the forums, If someone rolls incorrectly, the item will be passed to the second highest roller.

Thorog Quest Items.
In Helegrod there is three items that are used as keys to summon Thorag at the end of the quest. In another kins raid this week, one of these items was won by a random player, who then in turn logged out and messed the whole instance. So to prevent this from happening. All future raids, these keys will be assigned to a kin officer, with a good connection, and then used to summon the Thorag at the end of the raid. To try and make sure this problem doesn't happen to us. The keys are used, and disappear when used. So its not like anyone is missing out on anything.

Summary
This new system is mainly to make sure people who attend and complete 20 raids in search of their allusive quest item (dropped off bosses) and still don't have one. At least have a slight advantage (but not too much) over people on their first raid. Of course, when people get their boss dropped loot and quest items, the roll doesn't mean much anyway, because the items are all bind on acquire and useless to someone who already has one. So once people have their quest items, they wont be rolling at all.
