What is PVP

PVP is obviously Player V's Player.
But people just don't understand what hardcore PVP really is, cause like LOTR and WOW have pvp right? well no...

Lotro has a PVM system players V's monster. So players never actually fight other player characters, they only fight the players that want to PVP and hop onto a creep. So this leaves the whole PVE game world safe. Also because theres no PVP as such, class's don't have to be balanced. Because a Hunter will never fight a Minstrel, or a Guardian for example. So its not about picking the best character for pvp. You play a long side other character classes and not against them. Also, equipment and traits mean nothing. I could be a level 50 hunter who's got 4 legendary traits, decked out with the class items, and decked out with all teal items, and is level 8 in all traits. And compared to the level 47 hunter with no skill no equipment and no nothing, I'm a equal, because when we head to pvp, i have to fight beside him as a team, and not against him and kick his ass. So he pulls me down.

WoW has a RvR system, Good or evil. One side is automatically and predominantly at war with the other side. So while your adventuring on your side of the world you pretty safe. And the part i don't like about RvR mostly is that your forced to be on the same side as any 10yo dickhead kid who roles a character and selects the same side as you.

Real PVP hardcore games, such as UO, or Ultima Online.
Im very familiar with this game as i spent about 7 years in it. And my history in the game is extensive.

UO Style PVP.. Examples of the shit we used to get up to.

1. How to raid in PVP zones.
In UO, there was about 10 pvp raid zones. Where as a clan you had to go there, and kill the masses of monsters quickly. The more monsters you killed quickly, the closer you got to spawning the "big boss". If you wiped it meant that no monsters where killed for xx period of time, and you would actually go back down the spawn bar, until it reset.

So as a clan how we raided these raid zones / bosses. Was to put a spy at each of the raid zones, and hide / camp them there 24 hours a day. Then when another clan attempted to complete the raid. We would wait until they had spent the 3 hours killing shit to spawn the boss, and just as he was about to spawn, we would rock up. Kill the other clan, kill the last few mobs to spawn the boss, and then kill that too. So coming out of there with the loot from the other players, and the boss.

2. How to raid in Non PVP zones.
Because of the shit we caused above, they eventually put in a new raid with bigger and better equipment. And made the zone non pvp.
The area was hard to get to, it required you to kill elite mobs, and farm 100x "bones" off the mob, Then you would pick up the quest to get ported to the raid zone, hand the 100 bones, and get ported to the raid zone.

But we worked out if you handed in one bone and started the quest, it asked you for 99 more bones. And then if you canceled the quest, it refunded you the 100 bones. even though you only handed one in. So after collecting 1,000,000 bones we reported this bug and got it fixed..
So, we could enter the zone easily, others it took hours.

Then we camped the zone as a clan, 24/7 and anyone entering the zone who wasn't in the clan, we trained mobs on them to kill them, then went back to farming the big bosses.

3. Crafting.
There was several ways to go about crafting.
The usual way of going out mining for hours on end. Or our way which was usually either, going out and killing the miners and stealing the ore from their bodies, Or camping in a remote location and having a bot macro mine for you all day.
Then when stuff's made its free to kin, and 3x normal price to non kin. No favors if people want the best, they can pay for it. Giving away good stuff just makes the enemy stronger anyway. And anyone not in your clan is the enemy.

4. R/L money trading.
Due to the PVP environment, it leads to most people wanting good gear, because if they don't have it, they just get raped all the time. So prices on good gear is huge. Items from the non PVP raid zone mentioned above in (2), we sold spares of on Ebay for up to $500usd a item. Most being around $200usd. But mainly we traded houses, Since land was in short supply and rare. So houses where expensive and sort after, The most i got for a keep, (2nd largest house), was $1700usd. But mostly I build a small house a day, and sold that for $50usd. selling gold wasn't a big thing, because items sold for a lot more. But we did sell the odd stack of food, ore, wood, gold etc for in game cash too. Because houses / land was rare, houses collapsed due to inactivity if you didn't visit them for a month.
So we would go around checking houses ages, and any that hadn't been visited and where due to collapse within 24 hours, we would camp them and wait for them to collapse. Loot everything that was in the house after it collapsed. (most houses contained 10,000 items that you needed to spend hours moving chests full of crap back and forth.) Then build a new house in its place, and ebay the house after you logout.

5. Exploits.
As experienced gamers, we where always fiddling with stuff trying to trigger exploits, Once found the clan was advised to exploit fuck out of it as quickly as possible, then once we where done with it, we would report it to get it fixed, so no-one else got use of it.

6. Leaving the kin.
Theres only one thing thats screwed over and killed more than someone thats not in your kin. And that is someone who was in your kin and left.
The only way for someone to leave the kin, is on bad kill on sight terms.
Thats weither they leave or are kicked.

7. Objections to the above
If anyone objects to the above, just kill them, and steal their shit. If they still complain camp their corpse so they cant play. Is this unfair? No they should be in a powerful clan, so they could call there clan to clear the body for them. If they aren't in a powerful clan, well they should join ours.

How does a PVP clan get away with playing like this?

Of course, the clan gets a bad reputation over the above, and well, your not very well liked. But errr, its a PVP game. You play PVP games for the blood rush and errr to PVP. There's not much point playing a PVP game to play it like we currently play LOTRO, where everyones your friend and you fight no-one. The idea of the play style above is to become the best clan and also the most infamous clan. And to leave a permanent mark on the server and game forever.

To do this, Your kin is number 1 priority, and nothing else matters, you do whatever it takes to gain your clan a advantage and to screw/kill or rape someone who isn't in your clan.

But, in order to do the above. You have to get in the game early, Dominate the game, Level quickly, Stay above all the other clans in the game. And totally dominate the game. You cant do the above without shit loads of power. Once you have the power, you can do whatever you like.

And we intend to..

Our aim will simply be, to be the biggest, best and most infamous clan in the game. Rather than the nicest and fairest, which is what most are currently used to.
